It's very difficult to sum up The Big Chill Festival in a few words.
Some use it to see as many great live bands and DJs as they can. Some concentrate on the visual art. Some like to dance the weekend away in the Club Tent. Some people hang around their tents enjoying sunshine, barbeques and the company of friends old and new.
Most people will do a bit everything, but the joy of it is that you can do whatever you like, and take in as much or as little as you want.

This will be a festival with very high production values aimed at making people feel part of something special and unique.
Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th August, Time Team Live, The Big Royal Dig Holyrood in Edinburgh.
As part of the celebrations for the Queen's 80th birthday, Time Team is going to excavate in the grounds of the three main royal palaces – Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Holyroodhouse Palace. The shows will be transmitted live on Channel 4 and More4 across the August bank holiday weekend.
